Therapy for Anxiety

What is anxiety?

Do you feel like you’re always scrambling and trying to stay ahead of issues so that you can prevent any problems or misunderstandings with your loved ones?

You’re doing everything you can to hide anxiety and panic attacks while trying to keep it all together and appear calm. You may tell yourself that you keep it together for those you love, even if it’s ultimately hurting you.

If you've had professional and personal opportunities come into your life maybe you've noticed social anxiety in these new situations.

So when you notice that all of the anxiety and second guessing yourself is lingering longer than it should, that you’re always worrying about overlooking something important, that you’re more moody and “on edge,” or you’re experiencing more health issues like headaches or troubles sleeping, then it sure can feel that even a seemingly good thing can start to feel like a curse.

With anxiety, there’s often so many questions that run through your mind in response to life stressors. Things like, “Why am I always overthinking things?” or “Why is it so hard for me to know what I want or how I’m feeling about things?”

"Who am I and what's really important to me," are thoughts you notice, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed or experiencing burnout.

Clients often tell me that they’re afraid there’s something wrong with them but more often, it’s that they haven’t had the opportunity to first learn and apply proven strategies to help calm things down in their minds and bodies. Consider some different examples of life stressors and how anxiety might present.
